If you’re 16-24 and interested in a career in design — PUSH could help you get a break. Through mentoring, funding, connection to our network, and wider industry exposure, PUSH can help provide you with the tools, knowledge, and contacts to help you get started in the creative industry.
PUSH for good
It’s something we care hugely about. Helping young talented people get a good start/access to a career in the creative industry. With the steady eroding of creative subjects taught at school and a current political academic agenda that is more focussed on the importance of maths, and less on creativity and the arts, a ‘creative crisis’ is building in the UK and further. This affects the fostering and flow of unique creative talent.
Striving for a fairer system starts here with PUSH. The goal is to give talented young creatives help to launch their career.
Meet Yuri, on the PUSH programme
Yuri
Yuri is a third-year student at Camberwell College of Arts (UAL) and joined PUSH earlier this year. As part of her course, she can take a year out to gain experience within the industry, before her last year of study.
So we’ve welcomed Yuri on the (paid) PUSH programme for that year so that she can benefit from all it has to offer.
Yuri is getting practical experience to inform and accelerate her overall academic experience and help her career prospects. Yuri is one of only two students in her entire year group who managed to find support for a year out / placement.
How does PUSH work?
Creative talent aged between 16-24 in any stage or discipline of your creative journey, with a a portfolio and a strong desire to pursue a creative career.
